We run a new and updated fleet of vacuum tankers/gully suckers, semi vacuum tankers, hydro excavation/NDD units, CCTV mainline camera vans and combination drain cleaning units. We are continually investing in the best and most efficient technology available so we can benefit from quicker loading times, greater efficiency, better safety outcomes and a less fuel burn. All of this helps keep us competitive and sustainable with savings passed onto our

Sustainability

We are environmentally conscious and eco-responsible, it’s just who we are. Annually we

collect and dispose of millions of litres of liquid waste, hundreds of tonnes of organic material

and thousands of tonnes Hydro Excavation/NDD wastes and divert that material from landfill

to dedicated recycle or re-use facilities.

We hold all relevant licences with Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) Victoria and are

members of the Victorian Waste Management Association

Essendon Airfields is in the process of undergoing major redevelopments which includes, a new hotel complex and conference centre, with associated car parking, food and beverage facilities and landscaping. BMD Urban were contracted to construct all the roads and drainage, while relocating existing underground service

30XY PROJECT SCOPE

About 300 mm of silt needed to be removed from 3 box culverts. The water level in two ponds on each side of the culverts will need to be lowered in order to use the drain cleaning nozzle effectively.

PROJECT OUTCOME

A sump pump provided by the client was used to drain two adjacent ponds. If used under water, the drain cleaning nozzle looses it's effectiveness and the whole process could take twice as long or can't be done at all. In this case the operators were able to finish the three culverts in one day.
