The Iso-Air building block system in short;

The Iso-Air building system has been developed in order to build houses and other buildings in an energy and labour saving way. The fundamental principles that have to be met in order to achieve such a result are:

Low investment costs of the machines an moulds needed to produce the building blocks;

Low production costs set against high productivity;

A fast, simple an cheap building method, keeping interest rates, wages and material costs at a minimum level;

No need of heavy-duty material at the building site, meaning that small-scale building is economically possible;

Low energy costs in respect of heating or cooling the houses and other buildings when finished.

The Iso-Air building block is the basis of this building system. The system itself is a dry stacking building system, using one type of building block as stacking element. The blocks are produced according to the, in the licence-agreement described, production method.

The supporting construction of this building system consists of concrete pillars, which are formed by pouring concrete into the holes through the dry stacked blocks. The pillars and the storey floors are poured simultaneously an therefore form one solid part.

The dry stacking system is possible because the building blocks can be easily and economically raised to the exact height needed.

The building blocks are manufactured from the Iso-Air material are therefore low in volume-weight (approximately 900 kg/m3).

The unique aspect of this building system is based on the principle that the building blocks are “non-supporting”; that is to say, the building blocks do not exert any vertical pressure on the blocks below; all vertical pressure is borne by the concrete pillars. This means that the building blocks do not have to be extremely compact.

For mechanical defensiveness and damp prevention the blocks i.e. walls are, on both sides, finished off with a plaster layer after the dwelling has been roughly done.
