Meet Charles Weeks

How long have you worked at Allcon? 11 years  

What is your role at Allcon? Operations and Product Development  

What do you like most about your job? Having a large variety of tasks. 

What motivates you every day? Being able to provide practical and innovative solutions to our customers. 

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? I enjoy cutting firewood and spending time with my family and friends. 

Before working at Allcon, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Making pallets for aluminum ladders in the school holidays.  

What is your favorite saying? “No probs!”

Meet Sharron Watson

How long have you worked at Allcon? 1yr 8months 

What is your role at Allcon? Accounts Payable 

Why did you choose a career at Allcon? At the interview stage I was impressed with Bruce Weeks. He was very open and down to earth. 

What do you like most about your job? I love all the numbers!  

What motivates you everyday? Ticking off items from my to do list, whether it be work or outside of work. 

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? Spending time with family and friends, the countryside, family history research with the Guild of One Name Studies. 

Before working at Allcon, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Production Manager’s assistant at Unistat Pty Ltd. Loved those printing presses! Scheduled print runs for 23 machines with handwritten wooden “chits” placed on a metal swing board (It’s a numbers thing!) 

What is your favourite saying? “Hokey Cokey”. It’s a translation thing. My Portuguese friends say this instead of Okey Dokey

Meet Amy Samuel

Amy is the newest member of the Allcon team and is our internal sales assistant. So when you call through to us you’ll probably have a chat with her. Amy has hit the ground running and will help you with a solution to your concrete needs.

Why did you choose the role at Allcon? It’s a highly esteemed family business in the construction industry 

What is the best thing you like about your job? Being part of a happy invigorating team sharing the same company mission, vision and goals. 

What motivates you every day? Providing solutions to customers’ problems and helping them get the job done!  

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? Listening to music, playing the piano, travelling, exploring and enjoying the great outdoors. And the biggest time spinner of all: photography – any hour of the night or day anywhere, anything!

What is your favourite saying? “Seriously??”

Meet Bruce Weeks

How long have you worked at Allcon? 33 years 

What is your role at Allcon? Director/Manager 

Why did you choose a career in Allcon? I Wanted to help my dad in the “start-up” family business!    

What is the best thing you like about your job? Having a great team of people who make it easy for our clients to achieve their goals 

What motivates you every day? Providing solutions for our clients to achieve what may have seemed insurmountable. 

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? Time with the family

Before working at Allcon, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Managing a manufacturing plant that ran two shifts. 

Meet Ashley Brincat

How long have you worked at Allcon? 1.5 years 

What is your role at Allcon? Internal Sales Team Leader 

Why did you choose a career with Allcon? I wanted a change from working for big corporates. 

What do you like most about your job? The variety. You just never know what or who you’ll deal with on a daily basis when you work in customer service! 

What motivates you everyday? Bills (just kidding!). Seriously though, I like people and I like helping others. 

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? I’m a serious bookworm. I also love to crochet (no, it’s not a grandma sport!) and make cool stuff. I enjoy playing tennis (badly but fun) as well as walking with our puppy. Plus, trying to stay sane raising a teenage girl! 

Before working at Allcon, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Working the front bar as an apprentice Chef at a Crown Casino restaurant. Being propositioned by a top tennis player was by far a highlight amongst many other entertaining stories! 

What is your favourite saying? “Everything happens for a reason.”

Meet Ben Weeks 

Ben has worked for Allcon Group for the last 10 years in a variety of roles. This experience has helped him gain an amazing amount of knowledge about all the products that Allcon sells. He also has the know-how to help you when you come up with an issue on site.

Why did you choose a career at Allcon? Being part of the family business has given me exposure to most aspects of the business and I want to see Allcon reach new heights.

What is the best thing you like about your job? The wide variety of roles I have been able to work in 

What motivates you everyday? Finding solutions to problems. 

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? I enjoy getting on the tools and renovating my house. 

Before working at Allcon, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Before Allcon I was at school which I don’t believe is very unusual or interesting!

What is your favorite saying? “No probs!”

Meet Scott Mahaffy 

Scott has worked for Allcon Group for 18 months as the Marketing and Ecommerce lead. Scott is a key player who is in charge of keeping the Allcon marketing machine humming which covers everything from website development to promotional gifts. Yes, he’s the guy that organises all the cool freebies such as hats, stubby holders and pens. 

Why did you choose a career in marketing? A severe injury hampered my cliff diving career so leaning on past jobs marketing seemed the best fit.

What is the best thing you like about your job? I enjoy the control and freedom with in my job role

What motivates you everyday? Learning new things about concreting as well as coming up with creative ideas on how to market the Allcon brand to our customers

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? I make homebrew which is the second best part of that hobby – the best bit is drinking the fruits of your labour.

What is your favorite saying? “Want a beer?”
