Our History

Tim Anderson, Director of Anderson Group, has been involved in the building industry for over 20 years.

Tim’s experience in the building industry initially started when he took on a carpentry apprenticeship in 1992 with a local building company. This role involved concreting, steelwork (welding and grinding), timber framing, plastering, fit outs and finishes. During this time, Tim completed Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery at Sunraysia Institute of TAFE.

After a successful career in Carpentry, it was time for a new adventure. Tim turned his interest to building surveying in 1998 when he took on the position of Cadet Building Surveyor. A role that involved compliance checking of documents and plans, undertaking building inspections, preparing building reports, liaising with clients, drafts people, engineers, architects, builders and authorities. Additionally, Tim also completed an Associate Degree in Building Surveying in 2006 with Central Queensland University.

In 2010, Anderson Group – Building Surveyors and Consultants was formed.

Within a year, Anderson Group had already participated in a number of residential, commercial and industry developments within Victoria and New South Wales.

Today, Anderson Group maintains its reputation in the building industry as an organisation dedicated to providing informed, compliant, timely, accessible and personalised products and services to its clients.

Our mission statement is to excel within the building industry by providing a friendly, efficient, accessible and knowledgeable service.

We believe that effective communication is the key to successful working relations and understand the importance of being able to ‘ask the question’ or obtain feedback from qualified personnel.

Anderson Group also understand the importance of simplifying the building certification process to ensure that clients are aware of their obligations as well as the responsibilities of project participants such as drafts people, engineers, builders, councils and also our role as the relevant building surveyor.

Anderson Group endeavor to raise the level of service provided to clients to ensure a smooth transition from the preliminary stage of any building project through to completion.

At Anderson Group, we pride ourselves on providing accessible, affordable Building Permits and services which ensure that obtaining a Building Permit for your next build is within your budget.

No two builds are the same, and because of this, it is nearly impossible to have a set fee for our services. The total cost will depend on the size and scope of the project, and the cost of works.
