About BC Angus Stirton’s dream to operate and own heavy machinery began in the sandpit of his family property in the early 80’s when, as a six year-old boy, he saw a future in earthmoving. After completing high school and university where he became affectionately known as “Brolga”, he began to make this dream a reality and in 2002 “Brolga Contracting” was born.
Beginning in Quilpie, south-west Queensland, with one Caterpillar Bulldozer, Angus began to build a strong, reliable reputation in the civil roadwork industry.
Today’s fleet of 40 pieces of machinery, along with a loyal workforce, operates from our base in Emerald. Moving earth for over ten years, Brolga Contracting has established a solid reputation throughout western Queensland based on a commitment to project excellence and customer satisfaction.
A recent move to Emerald has allowed our business to expand further within Queensland. We very much look forward to having the opportunity to continue servicing South West and now the Central Queensland district.
Our aim is to provide all of our customers with a high quality service at an affordable price.

We have a large client base in South West and Central Queensland for both our for both our earthmoving and heavy haulage services.
We predominantly work with local shire councils, main roads, rural properties and civil contractors.
