DOMESTIC WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT INSTALLATION

At Central Septics Castlemaine we use only the highest quality products and provide you with the highest quality service. Our domestic septic systems are locally sourced and include the underground system, septic pumps, control panel and subsurface irrigation system. We are an authorised Septech installer and provide you with a certificate of conformance at the completion of work.

The Septech Turbojet 2000 treatment system is a concrete multi-tank aeration treatment system buried under ground; with nothing to see; nothing to smell and nothing to hear… making Septech perfect for your home. The system treats up to 2,000 litres of household waste per day, with the pump needing only 6 to 8 hours of operation per day for a full family. The system is EPA approved, Australian standards approved and Health Department approved. The mechanical and electrical components are comprised of non-corrosive materials and specially manufactured using stainless steel. We are happy to work directly with your builder or plumber or alternatively you can contact us directly.

HOW DO THE SYSTEMS OPERATE?

We are glad you asked! Your homes sewage is gravity fed into a ‘Primary Sewage Tank’ - here the waste undergoes settlement and digestion for approx. 48 hours. From here the wastewater flows into the Turbojet unit, which has two distinct chambers - Submerged contact aeration (SCA) and the Humus tank. At regular intervals water and air are pumped into the SCA tank by jets that cause robust disturbance of the tanks contents. The liquid waste entering the SCA is sent into a spiralling flow resulting in the biomass particles tumbling through the tank. The biomass takes nutrients and oxygen from the water resulting in a reduction of impurities as the wastewater passes through the system. This now treated water overflows to the pump tank where it is pumped to your irrigation system.
