Eldarin Services Metro is an Australian family-owned Company that has been trading for over 30 years.

Starting off in 1990 with a “Ute and 2 Men” the Company now owns a substantial fleet of vehicles and employs a large body of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated Operators who deliver a range of invaluable services to a wide variety of clients throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area.

Over the years we have provided Hydro Excavation (Non-Destructive Digging - NDD) services that have assisted with the roll-out of the NBN throughout vast areas of Melbourne.

We are currently assisting Yarra Trams with their mammoth project of installing new poles throughout much of the Tram Network. Providing vital Hydro Excavation services utilising laser measurements to ensure precise pole location, we are able to minimise the impact on existing site infrastructure. Where required, our Operators will saw cut through concrete, asphalt, bluestone, etc. prior to excavation.

Our Eductor fleet is constantly on the go providing Stormwater Drainage Pit cleaning throughout many metropolitan Council areas whilst our Jet Trucks provide root cutting services as required. Our Vac Trucks are on standby to de-water or remove ballast (Vacuum Load) from previously excavated holes.

We are currently providing Units and Operators to assist with Level Crossing removal at three sites as well as significant works at Melbourne Airport.

Working in conjunction with Phoenix Services Locating we are able to offer Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) location of critical services to achieve asset exposure using Hydro Excavation.

HYDRO EXCAVATION / NON DESTRUCTIVE DIGGING

Non-Destructive Digging (NDD) is fast becoming the preferred method of excavation throughout the Construction Industry. Using water under pressure to breakup the sub-surface, the risk of damage to underground utilities is vastly reduced compared to manual or mechanical digging methods. NDD delivers safe, efficient and precise excavation that minimises the requirements for backfill, labour and reinstatement works. 

Our experienced NDD Operators can safely excavate near and around water networks, telecommunications lines and power or gas lines without the risk of causing any potential damage to these services.

DRAINAGE PIT CLEANING

Our 4,000L to 8,000L Combo/Combi units are able to remove a range of materials and waste debris from sewers and drains, including dirty ballast, sludge, tree roots, debris, sediment, silt and sludge.

We compliment this service by offering CCTV inspection of pipes and culverts the results of which are uploaded to our clients. Our reports together with images provided enable our clients to monitor the condition of sewers and stormwater pipes. This vital information assists our clients to schedule cleaning and future maintenance works to limit the incidence of flooding episodes during significant rain events.

WEED CONTROL

In 1992 Eldarin Services Metro revolutionised the approach to weed control in metropolitan councils when we introduced Quad Bikes fitted with a rear mounted 60 litre tank and hand-spraying equipment. Since then all weed control operators who operate within the Melbourne metropolitan area use this type of equipment which is ideal for the treatment of weeds in the following areas:

• Building Lines
• Kerbs & Channels
• Tree Bases
• Cracks & crevices in footpaths
• All Traffic Management Devices
• Laneways (Rights of Ways)
• Car Parks

Using Quad Bikes, inaccuracy and over-spraying is virtually eliminated by placing the Operator "on the spot". An added bonus is that due to the efficiency of this technique the amount of chemical used is kept to a minimum.

The company also uses 2000 litre Tankers fitted with rear-mounted booms specifically to spray all laneways and car parks. This is a highly efficient method of weed treatment substantially reducing the amount of time required to complete this task.

FOOTPATH MAINTENANCE

Eldarin provide services to several clients in Melbourne where grinding of displaced footpaths is required, saving on the costs of full repairs and minimizing disruption to the general public.

TACTILE REPAIRS AND RENEWAL

Eldarin can service, repair or install tactiles in areas required for vision impaired crossings and hazardous areas such as tram platforms.

GRAFFITI REMOVAL

A range of high pressure washers are used to remove Posters and some Graffiti from businesses and properties throughout Melbourne.

Whilst extremely effective for the removal of posters, this equipment is not designed to remove most of the Graffiti we come across.

Eldarin Services Metro is leading the way with innovative new solutions currently being evaluated, such as anti-graffiti film. This method has been applied to heritage tram stop shelters throughout the City and trial results have been effective to date.

TRAM LINE MAINTAINENCE

Eldarin provide several services with relation to the Melbourne Tram system to different councils.

Cleaning and maintenance of tram points and junctions is critical to keep our cities public transportation system running.

RESPONSIBLITY

We only use chemicals that have minimal environmental impact, yet offer the best performance possible with that in mind

GLYPHOSPHATE

Although this chemical is classified as hazardous, it is non-dangerous according to the Australia Dangerous Goods code.

The concentrate is of low toxicity, even if swallowed, and it is the chemical of choice for all metropolitan Councils. It is highly effective in controlling weeds under most normal circumstances.

SIMAZINE

In situations where a residual herbicide effect is required, such as Blue stone lane ways, the added chemical of choice is Simazine.

This chemical is classified as Hazardous, however it is also rated as non-dangerous according to the Australian Dangerous Goods code.

The concentrate is also of low toxicity, even if swallowed and is not an eye or skin irritant.
