Dalby Plumbers and Roofing Specialists ~ Our workforce has a combined 100 years of experience in the industry. These skills are used to train new apprentices which few companies are doing today.

We train our staff to qualifications than exceed the industry standard. This ensures a higher level of workplace health and safety. Tasks such as boom lifts and elevated work platforms require employees to be fully licensed and accredited. Staff have Working at Heights Certification, Elevated Platform ticket, Dogman ticket (to tie and lift) and Scaffolding ticket. All are high risk tickets.

Fermor Plumbing was established in 1976 by Ben and Judy Fermor. This company continues to expand with their son Shane and his family taking control of the company in 2011.

Fermors are currently engaged in commercial plumbing operations in the Dalby and Western Downs region. Over the years, they have recently completed a string of large-scale roofing projects, including Dalby Shopping World, Dalby Health Services and Drovers Motor Inn.

Fermors expanded their business in 2005 with the incorporation of Darling Downs Scaffold. This section of the business involves the hire of scaffolding and edge protection systems to meet new safety standards required in the building industry.

Whilst the plumbing and roofing business has grown, the values upon which it was founded have remained unchanged. The company provides unrivalled customer service with installation and maintenance work completed to the highest professional standard.

Fermors have completed plumbing works at the Origin Energy GLNG Eurombah Creek 400 man Accommodation camp.

This included small earthworks, sewage, storm water and potable water supply installations and services.

INDUSTRY ACCREDITATIONS

Fermors are a member of the Master Plumbers Association of Queensland which is the peak industry body and updates members on standards and requirements in the plumbing industry.

Backflow prevention valve licence: We are licensed to carry out installation, repair and testing of backflow prevention valves, which prevents pollutants gaining access to the supply line.

Thermostatic mixing valve licence: We are licensed to carry out the Installation, repair and testing of thermostatic mixing valves which enable hot and cold water to be mixed to desired set temperatures for safety requirement.

Type A gas licence: This is a restricted licence to install, service and certify gas lines and appliances.

Plumbing and drainage licence:- This licence allows us to carry out plumbing services to council requirements, and to sign off on council forms and completion notices.

The BSA (Building Services Authority) contractors licence allows us to carry out contract work and to supervise others.

Fire hose reel and fire hydrant licence allows us to install pipework to hose reel and hydrants.
