Grainhart: Bulk Grain Packing, Storage & Logistics

One of Queensland’s largest grain packers, Grainhart is based on Queensland’s fertile Darling Downs and is located approximately 160km from the Port of Brisbane. This strategic location allows grain for packaging to be sourced from regions spanning central Queensland to northern New South Wales.

Grainhart’s semi-automated 20 foot containerised packing system processes large quantities of different types of grains, without damaging the product. Grainhart offers customers an entire logistics solution. A DCT price can be offered ex-farm or depot, including all freight movements required and PRAs.

Grainhart’s services include the logistical requirements, from the road transport of bulk commodities into Grainhart, to the containerisation of grain & cotton seed and including the delivery of the containers to the wharf. Grainhart also offers a 36 metre Public Weigh-bridge.

Bulk Grain Packing

Cotton Seed Packing

Cotton seed can be loaded into 40 foot containers. We are also able to offer customers ex GIN to DCT conversion.

Bulk Grain Storage

On site we have a large capacity for storage of all grain types, and also Cotton Seed. Our silos all have climate controlled aeration, and our bulk grain bunkers have sealed floors.

Container Logistics

Grainhart has a fleet of ‘A Double’ container skels capable of carrying 20 foot and 40 foot containers to the Port of Brisbane in a Road Train configuration. Grainhart has a close alliance with Qube Logistics, where Grainhart accumulates all of its containers that it packs, along with outside freight jobs. This provides Grainhart with superior container parks access, including top-of-class equipment.

Public Weighbridge

On-site is a 36m trade certified Public Weighbridge. The weighbridge hours of operation are Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm

About Grainhart

Grainhart commenced operation in 2005 and was developed by Managing Director Peter Hart. We are a family operated, privately owned company that knows the importance of strong customer relationships and we enjoy our deep involvement within our local community.

Grainhart offers its customers a complete logistical solution. From the movement of a bulk product from any site in Australia, through to the containerisation of grain and cottonseed to a DCT position, GH is able to complete the task at hand. Grainhart also has a 36 metre Public Weighbridge onsite

Our Oakey location is one of our business strengths as it places us within the productive Darling Downs grain belt. Our location allows sourcing of grain from central Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
