Morrison Rock Drilling Services P/L was formed in 2009 by Matthew Morrison who with best mate Justin Flannery had taken on the arduous hand held drilling jobs that nobody else wanted before graduating to cabless blas thole drills under contract to Brian Grigg (Southern Explosives).

Matt started his company in Cowra in the central west of NSW with two ,well used, Reedrill 400C rigs which although a lot like grandfather’s axe, they remain operational.Later a Reedrill (GD) 5000C was added and subsequently a Furukawa 1500 rig was purchased bringing the operational fleet to four.

While Matt passed away Justin remains drilling and has been joined by Lachlan, Matt’s son. Both have Cert III Drill operations qualifications along with Explosives handling credentials and have passed the shotfirers theorey test before being passed practically by the Mines Dept.
