Paul Munns History

In The Beginning

Paul Munn learnt his trade from a young age from his his father Brian Munn, founder of Munns Lawns. Brian Munn was dedicated to developing lawns that were ideal for South Australia’s environment, introducing lawns such as Santa Anna Couch and B27 Master Blend.

A Piece Of History

It was Brian Munn who first established the lawns at AAMI Stadium (Then Football Park).

Keeping The Green Grass Rolling

Paul Munn followed in his fathers footsteps and opened his own business, now called Paul Munns Instant Lawn. Paul initiated the first turf research and development centre in South Australia which released a range of SA’s most ideal and drought tolerant lawn species. He was involved in introducing instant lawn to the public of SA in the early 1980’s and has gone on to establish lawns such as Casablanca Couch, Droughtbreaker, Windsor Green and Rykuyu.

Paul continues to educate SA about lawns with a long running history of radio appearances with Michael Keelan, Bob Francis and John Lamb. Paul’s innovative approach and continuous research ensures that the varieties we stock are of the highest quality and most suitable for the South Australian climate.

Today, Paul Munn’s family name is still strong in South Australia. 28 years after he opened his doors at Brighton, Paul is still researching and introducing new lawns for South Australia.
