Nordig Earthmovingis a Cairns based family owned company, servicing Cairns, the Far North and Cape York regions, for both commercial, residential large and small-scale projects. The business was founded in 1983 with one backhoe and one operator, and quickly grew into a sizeable operation. Still under the same family ownership, the business is one of the most stable in the area. The now father and son team have more than 50 years of experience in the earthmoving industry, together with a team of highly experienced operators and up to date late model machinery, will enable a solution to the toughest of problems.

We rent & operate Excavators, Backhoes, Bobcats, Floats, Dumpers, and Rollers all with a variety of attachments.

We are a Cairns Earthmoving contractor, and we can rent you the equipment and you can operate it by your experienced operator or you can hire the equipment with our experienced operator, or we can give you a quote, and you contract us for the whole job and we’ll complete it for you. • Contracting: Our team is ready to tackle any project big or small and we take all our projects seriously. Quality is what we strive for and what we will provide for you.
• Dry Hire: If you need equipment and have the proper training to operate it, this is the best option for you. Rent excavators, bobcats, etc from our inventory.
• Wet Hire: Need some work done, but don’t have the proper training. We can send over our equipment with a professional to get the job done.
• Transport: Nordig has the ability to move machinery and equipment for you with a low loader that can shift up to 23 tonnes and smaller trucks for smaller loads. We can move your machinery in a safe, speedy and professional manner. We also have a fleet of tip trucks to move dirt, rubbish, etc; 9m3 tandem tippers; and 18m3 semi tipper.
