Q.R. Concrete Pty Ltd

Founded and owned by Chris Jones in 1990, QRC stands for Quality Results Concrete. Servicing south-east Queensland, we specialise in the design and construction of large-scale civil engineering and building concrete solutions for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Chris started out as a young concreter in the 1970s – where he worked his way up from concreting to site and project management across large-scale projects – before creating a dynamic company, considered the leader in its field in Queensland today. His motivation for starting the company was to harness his knowledge and can-do attitude into providing a reliable company built on delivering quality in every aspect of operations.

Built around family and family values – and a desire to achieve quality in everything we do – QRC remains a proud family-owned and independently-operated company based in Geebung, Brisbane.

With a long history of family members working within the company, the family values have remained consistent and extend to being accountable, demonstrating flexible work-life balance, trusting each other and making sure you have your colleague’s back.

QRC works for small, medium and large organisations with Lend Lease, CPB, Watpac, John Holland and FK Gardner as long-standing clients. Regardless of the size of an engagement, we are happy to supply a quality concrete design and install solution for all projects.

Our forté is our people – from designers and project managers to tradespeople who are committed to delivering first-class customer service and quality results. All key staff have a passion and expertise in concrete including a background on the ‘tools’ as concreters. It is rare for a business or our size to have leadership staff with this degree of in-depth and hands-on knowledge.

We believe it is our trade and construction experience that gives QRC the edge in estimating, design, delivery, client liaison and project management.

QRC is a Member of the Master Concreters Association of Australia.

We value the wellbeing of our people on and offsite. We have an evolving safety system designed to adapt to our changing industry that sets out to prevent incidents from occurring and most importantly, learning from those that happen.

Innovation

We believe that if it can be done a better way, then ‘let’s do it’. This philosophy has led to the continued investment in the latest technology for both onsite and offsite use. Onsite includes: concrete pumps laser and truss screeds, roller pavers and roll-on trowelling equipment. Our offsite staff coordinate with onsite staff via our operations management software Neo Intelligence which also provides our field staff with a platform to comply with our Safety and Quality Management Plans.

People

We started as small family business 30 years ago and whilst we have grown to around 90 employees in 2020, family values of accountability, trust and flexibility are at the heart of our business. All staff receive induction in our values and what is expected of them as QRC employees.
