Tom Ballard established Tom’s Trash Paks in 1978 operating from a trailer towed by his family car. Promoting the business with a letterbox drop, Tom quickly established the service throughout Canberra.
The first truck came into service in 1982 and by the early 1990’s regional service providers had been appointed to handle the growing business.
Today, Tom’s Trash Paks services homes, units, commercial businesses and embassies with their well known trash ‘paks’ and wheely bins.
Trash Paks
Trash Paks hold about a small trailer load of rubbish and are replaced every four weeks. They are perfect for dry household waste, cuttings, prunings lawn and edge clippings, leaves and garden rubbish. Please do not put heavy metal objects or rubbish that should go into your general waste collection service into the trash pak.
Please ensure that there is clear access to the trash pak or wheely bin on collection day.
