Ross Mars is the Managing Director of Water Installations Pty Ltd, author, teacher and Doctor of Environmental Science, with many years in the field of greywater and wastewater. He completed a PhD in Environmental Science at Murdoch University in 2001. His research centred on the use of native wetland plants to strip nutrients from domestic greywater. He leads a team of expert technicians who carry out all residential and commercial water installations in WA.  

Ross also has qualifications in Permaculture, and offers general Permaculture courses (Permaculture Design Course) as well as Accredited Permaculture Training. Ross is one of the most authoritative permaculture teachers, designers and consultants in Australia, and author of five books on the subject and two DVD’s on energy efficient housing design and renewable energy systems for power generation.

Ross has developed and introduced the new Accredited Permaculture courses in WA, delivering CIII to Diploma as well as developing CI and CII as VET programs for schools and community groups. Details of these can be found on his Candlelight Farm website.
