The accommodation facilities along with environmental and scientific survey capabilities offered by Eco Abrolhos Accommodation Pty Ltd (EAA) revolve around the company’s ‘flag ship’ - SPV ECO ABROLHOS. (As featured on the cover page).
This 35m catamaran style vessel has continually proven its suitability in supplying the required operational facilities needed in remote locations. Not only does it offer a high standard of accommodation but, also, the commercial fit out in the galley enhances its reputation catering for functions (up to 140 people), conferences and use as a ‘wet mess’.
Should the situation require it this vessel can be readily complemented by other vessels of similar size and style. All vessels are in current OVID Audit.
Our vessel offers a completely self-contained alternative, particularly in ‘start-up’ stages of developments. We can provide quality accommodation close to the worksite for workers involved with resource development projects being undertaken away from the usual support infrastructure associated with a well-populated area.
Given the vessel’s self-sufficiency and on board self-containment features, including the ability to generate its own water supply / own electricity / hold and treat sullage etc., the introduction of the vessel into a sensitive local area will have no negative impact on the locality’s environmental factors.
Should a higher number of beds, over and above the total number that the Eco Abrolhos can provide, then EAA is prepared to charter additional vessels on a ‘bare boat’ basis. This type of engagement enables us to manage them directly under EAA’s proven Safety Management System (SMS) if this is appropriate. This approach ensures consistency across the fleet and compliance with any project audit prerequisites.
